BOCA RATON, Fla. - Boca Raton's Hidden Lakes community is the kind of place where people go to raise a family. The lawns are well manicured and the homes have a fairway view which, for many, is a hole-in-one.

"We love living here, it's just beautiful, says resident Suzanne Geragi.

Amidst the calm South Florida breeze there is, however, monsoon-like chatter going on between neighbors about the former Boca Raton Executive Golf Course Country Club.

"It is just disgusting," explains Geragi.

"Something really needs to be done about that building," adds another neighbor.

The building is now just a shell and people who live nearby say it's home to unwelcome guests.

"We seen homeless people and it is just not safe," says Geragi.

The country club was damaged by a hurricane several years ago and then left vacant. Last December it was destroyed by a fire and so far no one has been charged.

The building is privately owned. The owners are currently waiting for demolition permits and if all goes as planned it should be torn down by June.

Currently there are no plans to build something in its place.
