BOCA RATON, Fla. - Boca Raton Police are looking for a burglary suspect in connection with at least three business break-ins over weekend.
The first occurred on Friday, at 9:51 p.m., when a surveillance camera recorded a man using a rock to shatter the glass front door of the Rocksteady Jamaican Jerk Café, in the 1100 block of South Federal Highway. The burglar was able to get $10 in coins from an open register, police said.
On Saturday, at about 3:10 a.m. there was a break-in at the neighboring Marti's Deli, where the glass front door of the business was smashed as well, they said.
About 10 minutes later, police discovered a broken glass door at the Salon Monaco, in the 500 block of North Federal Highway. Again, a rock was used to smash out the lower portion of the front door. Several hundred dollars was taken from a cash register, investigators said.
The similarities between the burglaries lead detectives to think the same person may be responsible.
Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Rob Adams at 561-620-6044 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800-458-8477.
