BOCA RATON, Fla. - Boca Raton police are investigating a robbery Thursday afternoon at a PNC Bank on the 1400 block of North Federal Highway.
According to a media release by police, bank employees told officers the male suspect entered the bank at 1401 North Federal Highway around 4:50 p.m., pointed a long-barreled revolver at the teller and demanded the money in her drawer. He allegedly threatened to shoot the teller if she didn’t comply with his demand.
The teller handed the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and he walked out of the bank, got into the driver side of a dark four-door vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic, and left west on NE 14th Street, according to the release.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid 30’s, about 6 feet tall with a medium build and facial hair. He was wearing a white shirt with writing on it, plaid shorts and a dark baseball cap with a bandana underneath it.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is urged to contact Detective Jeff Stepp at (561) 620-6196 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS.
