BOCA RATON, Fla. - Police are searching for a purse snatcher who grabbed two purses earlier this month from bars at Mizner Park, authorities said.

Both thefts happened on Oct. 2, according to Boca Raton police. The first victim was sitting with friends that evening at Racks Downtown Eatery and Tavern, 402 Plaza Real, when her bag disappeared from the bar she had set it on.

The second victim placed her purse on the seat next to her at the Truluck's bar, 351 Plaza Real. After about an hour, she noticed it was gone, police said.

Surveillance video shows a man at both restaurants around the time these crimes occurred. In one shot, he is carrying one victim's purse on his way out, police said.

The suspected purse snatcher is described as a bald man who was wearing a white T-shirt, ripped jeans and dark shoes. He wore sunglasses on his head and appeared to have dog tags hanging from his neck.

Police ask anyone with information about these incidents to call Detective Michael Michel at 561-620-6187 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-8477.
