BOCA RATON, Fla. - Two men were arrested on Tuesday shortly after an armed robbery at a Pizza Hut, according to Boca Raton Police.
Around 1 p.m., the cashier said an armed man with a gray bandanna over his mouth demanded money at gunpoint and after she put the cash register drawer on the counter he emptied it and calmly walked out of the restaurant at 21342 St. Andrews Blvd., investigators said.
Sean Ortagun, 22, of Boca Raton, and Nikko Albanese, 19, were later stopped in a green Chrysler with a tan convertible top that witnesses described as the getaway car, police said.
Ortagun told officers he drove Albanese to the Pizza Hut, but knew nothing about the hold up. After the robbery, he drove Albanese to his home where officers later found a handgun discarded outside. It was reported stolen Oct. 25, detectives said.
The victim and a witness identified Albanese as the gunman. Both Albanese and Ortagun are charged with armed robbery. Albanese was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. More charges are expected, police said.
