BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The man killed Saturday afternoon after his vehicle collided with a train in Boca Raton has been identified as 49-year-old Anthony Carter, according to Boca Raton police.
Carter was driving a 2005 Land Rover when his vehicle exited I-95 onto westbound Palmetto Park Road and crashed through a downed crossing gate, according to police.
The SUV struck a northbound Tri-Rail train.
The train hit the Land Rover on the driver's side. Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Officer Michael Daly at (561) 620-6081.
