BOCA RATON, FL---Last night the unthinkable happened for the owner of a Boca Raton pet store.
Someone took a nine week old Teacup Morkie from Palm Beach Puppies and Boutique.
A Morkie is a designer breed of dog that is a mix of a Maltese and a Yorkie.
"We're very upset about this," said employee Ryan Garson.
Morkies are notoriously difficult to maintain, they have special dietary needs to keep their blood sugar at an even level.
"If they're not handled in the right manner, then these little puppies can go through hypoglycemia and some other issues that could be severe to the puppies health," said Ryan Garson.
Shop owner Alan Garson and his son Ryan searched high and low for the dog then alerted the news media.
A NewsChannel Five viewer saw the story of the missing dog on the station's noon news, and later spotted it at a nearby store.
At that point the purloined puppy was returned to the boutique.
"It was absolutely unbelievable, we found our little baby, she's so precious, she's healthy, Garson said. "We're just so happy that she's back."
The store already has an interested buyer for the newly returned rover.
