OKEECHOBEE — A registered sex offender was arrested Friday and faces charges from Citrus and Pasco counties, one of which relates to accusations of sexual activity with a minor, an Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office release states.
Michael Carl Johnson, 53, on Friday was arrested on a warrant from Citrus County that charged him with burglary of a dwelling and dealing in stolen property. Investigators also learned of a warrant from Pasco County relating to unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
Johnson, of the 3100 block of Southeast 21st Court in Okeechobee, was arrested in 1983 and 1986 in connection with sex-related charges involving children.
