TEQUESTA, Fla. - A Tequesta man was arrested after having a 14-year-old drive him to the store to buy a four-pack of beer, according to the arrest report.
A police officer pulled over the car after observing the front seat passenger was not wearing his seat belt.
William Poffenbarger, 21, told police, "he did not have a valid license and was teaching the minor how to drive his vehicle, because he couldn't." He also told the officer they went to the convenience store where he purchased a four-pack of beer.
Poffenbarger faces contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child cruelty charges, according to the arrest affidavit.
