JUPITER, Fla. - Officers with the Jupiter Police Department are investigating a robbery at the Enterprise Bank located inside of the Seagrape Shopping Plaza at 185 East Indiantown Road.

Police responded to a robbery call around 10:12 a.m.

Witnesses provided a suspect description along with information related to the vehicle involved in the robbery.

A BOLO (be on the lookout) bulletin went out to surrounding police agencies and the suspect was spotted on U.S. 1 a short time later by Juno Beach Police.

While trying to stop the suspect, an officer discharged his weapon but no one was struck.

The suspect fled but was stopped a short time later and taken into custody.

Police identified the suspect as 43 year old Robert H. Bittle.
