Robber uses gun, Barack Obama mask to hold up a Burger King

 LAKE PARK — Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies continue to search for a masked gunman who robbed a local fast food restaurant wearing a President Barack Obama mask.

The robber made his way into the Burger King in the 9000 block of Old Dixie Highway at 6:21 a.m., said sheriff's office spokeswoman Teri Barbera. He was wearing all black, the mask and red gloves, when he brandished a silver handgun and demanded money from the registers and safe.

The gunman had an employee put the money in a gray bag, Barbera said.

Despite setting up a perimeter and deploying K9 units, deputies were unable to find the gunman.

Though employees initially reported that the gunman was wearing a Ronald Reagan mask, detectives who reviewed surveillance video determined that the gunman was instead wearing an Obama mask.
