PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- The Honda Classic kicks off Monday at PGA National Resort and Spa.
The week-long golf event is expected to bring more than 100,000 people to South Florida.
Past and present players of the Miami Dolphins will tee off Monday in the Fins Cup Pro-AM.
Junior players from South Florida will also hit the course.
The main tournament begins Thursday.
Executive Director Ken Kennerly says Tiger Woods' presence in the tournament will bring even bigger crowds.
"When he committed the world kind of went crazy there for a while," Kennerly said. "People went right to the ticket booths. They ordered as many tickets as they could. Ticket sales have skyrocketed. We're expecting a fabulous week here."
Even before Woods committed to the tourney, pre-sales were up by 34 percent.
