PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - A suspicious package found Saturday evening at a popular church campus in Palm Beach Gardens "turned out to be nothing," said Ellen Lovejoy, spokeswoman for the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department.
The bomb squad was called to the Christ Fellowship Church at 5343 Northlake Boulevard around 8 p.m. after churchgoers found a suspicious package in the parking lot of the campus, said Chief Keith Bryer, spokesman for the Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue.
The package was x-rayed and found to contain nothing suspicious, Lovejoy said. She said she did not know what the package contained.
The church was evacuated during the investigation.
