North Palm Beach police are investigating an apparent drowning.

Police say they were called to the 100 block of Paradise Harbour Boulevard along the Earman River Canal where they recovered the body of a young male.

The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the exact cause of death.

Police estimate that the body may have been in the water for 12 hours before it was recovered.
