TEQUESTA, Fla. - Two burglary suspects were arrested this afternoon after leading village police on a chase and crashing their car into an unmarked Jupiter police vehicle.

They are believed to be responsible for numerous home burglaries throughout Palm Beach County, village police said.

Jupiter police took Justin Bayliss of Palm Beach Gardens and a second unidentified suspect into custody, and the two are expected to be booked into the Palm Beach County Jail this evening. There were no injuries in the crash and the vehicles involved sustained minor damage, Tequesta Police Lt. Jason Turner said in a news release.

Tequesta officers responded just before 3 p.m. to a burglary in progress at a home in Tequesta Country Club, Turner said. As police were arriving, the startled suspects fled in a gray four-door Toyota before they could take anything from the home, Turner said.

After a short chase, the suspects crashed into the unmarked Jupiter vehicle at the Whispering Pines community off Loxahatchee River Road. The suspects were arrested without incident.
