Three taken to local hospitals after near drowning in Jupiter

JUPITER, Fla. -

Three people are being transported to local hospitals after a near drowning at DuBois Park in Jupiter this afternoon.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews were called to the park at about 2 p.m. Capt. Lee Forshner, a spokesman for Fire Rescue, said five people had reportedly swallowed water and crews were on hand to assist Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue.

Forshner said one person was being transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center and two were being taken to Jupiter Medical Center.

He said the patients were all in stable condition.

No further information was immediately available.
