Shark bite in Jupiter sends child to hospital

A 6-year-old boy is recovering Wednesday morning after being bitten by a shark in the upper thigh Tuesday night, according to Jupiter Police Department PIO Scott Pascarella .

JUPITER, Fla. - A 6-year-old boy was bitten by a shark in the upper thigh Tuesday night, according to Jupiter Police Department PIO Scott Pascarella. 

The incident occurred just North of the Juno Pier, near Marcinski Park in Juno Beach, at approximately 7 p.m.

The child was transported via trauma hawk to St. Mary's Medical Center. His condition is unknown.
