JUPITER, FL - Despite published reports that they are closed, Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary in Jupiter is indeed open for business but for how long could be up to you.

The facility is three months behind in rent and they only have $7,000 left in the bank. They were forced to cut staff and hours but things are growing worse.

The 25 year old no kill shelter continues to take in strays adding to the 110 dogs and 400 cats currently in their population. They're motto is never to turn away an animal however with donations down they need your help more than ever.

"We are desperate, over the last three weeks and our water got turned off and we almost had our electricity turned off and we've had to borrow money to pay bills," says Kay-Lynetter Roca, CEO of Safe Harbor.

If you would like to make a donation call 561-747-1598 and press one. You can send a donation to: Safe Harbor, PO Box 1843, Jupiter FL 33468.
