PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - The risk for rip currents in South Florida remains high through the weekend.
One swimmer was rushed to the hospital Thursday after nearly drowning in Riviera Beach.
He was pulled from the water by nearby swimmers.
Lifeguards remind you to read beach signs before you go in the water.
Make sure you swim close to a lifeguard and if you get caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the beach until the water is calm and them you can swim to shore.
