JUPITER, Fla. -- Jupiter High School and Jupiter Elementary School are no longer on lockdown after an incident that occurred near the schools, according to a Jupiter Police Department spokesperson.
The schools were on lockdown until about 10:40 a.m.
Police say they were investigating a suspicious incident on Chevron Circle about a person threatening to come to the residence and shoot the occupants.
Officers said the schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution and the incident was not related to the school.
Police say they resolved the incident they were called to, but did not elaborate.
Jupiter police officer and Palm Beach County School District Police were dispatched to each school during their investigation.
They say neither the schools nor students were ever in danger.
