JUPITER, Fla. - A firefighter rescued a kitten from a storm drain in Jupiter Sunday.
The first attempt on Saturday was unsuccessful.
A firefighter decided to try again Sunday on his day off.
"We kind of put together, rigged a PVC system with a net on the end and pushed him out of the drain so animal control could snare him, and luckily for this little guy right here, we got him a home right away," said firefighter Sam Adler.
The woman who first noticed the stuck kitten adopted the animal. She named him 'Sammy' after the firefighter who rescued him.
