Fire crews put out 6-acre brush fire behind homes in Abacoa

JUPITER, Fla. - Palm Beach County fire crews have put out a 6-acre fire behind homes  in Jupiter, said Capt. Albert Borroto, fire spokesman.

The fire burned  in a nature preserve area in Abacoa, Borroto said.

Fire crews cleared the area at 8 p.m. 

The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. Callers said the blaze was located about 150 feet behind 118 Morning Dew Circle.

Borroto said that no home was evacuated.

The fire is under investigation.
