EARLIER STORY:
JUPITER, Fla. — Three masked men, one of them armed with a "large silver-colored handgun," robbed a Jupiter pharmacy and escaped with an undetermined amount of an prescription medication, according to Jupiter Police.
Police were called by a witness in the AARAV Pharmacy, at 6650 W. Indiantown Road, at about 10:20 a.m, according to a statement released this afternoon.
One of the suspects pointed his handgun at the clerks and forced them to hand over the medication, the statement said. The two employees inside the pharmacy were then tied up by the suspects.
No money was taken, no shots were fired and there were no injuries during the robbery, Jupiter Police Officer Adam Brown said.
Police set up a perimeter around the area and blocked the entrance to the office building where the pharmacy is located. They were unable to find the suspects. It's not known if the suspects escaped in a vehicle or not.
The office building also contains a law office and a veterans center.
Employees of the pharmacy are doing an inventory to determine what type of medication was stolen, police said.
