JUNO BEACH, Fla. -- Loggerhead Marinelife Center released Haymitch, a rehabilitated sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle, Thursday morning.
Haymitch arrived at the the center on May 18 after being rescued from Florida Power & Light’s St. Lucie power plant intake canal.
The turtle was covered in barnacles, lethargic and underweight, according to officials.
After four months of rehabilitation, the turtle had recovered completely and was ready for release.
