Turnpike drivers face a major detour beginning Monday night.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation:
All northbound Turnpike lanes will be closed between Okeechobee Boulevard (Exit 99) and Indiantown Road (Exit 116) from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 3, through Tuesday, March 5. All northbound traffic will be diverted off the Turnpike at Okeechobee Boulevard and will follow a detour east to I 95, north to Indiantown Road (Exit 87B) and then west to the Turnpike.
All southbound Turnpike lanes closed at PGA Boulevard from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 3, through Thursday, March 7. All southbound traffic will be diverted off the Turnpike at PGA Boulevard and will follow a detour east to I 95, south to Okeechobee Boulevard (Exit 87B) and then west to the Turnpike.
In addition, one of two Turnpike lanes in each direction may be closed as needed in the vicinity of PGA Boulevard from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 3, through Thursday, March 7.
