SEWALL'S POINT, Fla. -- Six burglaries have taken place in Sewall's Point in the last two weeks.
The robberies took place in an eight day span in mid to late April.
The burglars often pose as power company employees and lawn crews before breaking in homes, according to police.
Investigators also believe these thieves are part of a large organized crime ring in Broward County that rents cars and drives them to the Treasure Coast.
Police say some of the items that are targeted are TVs, jewelry and guns and the robberies usually occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
