MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. - Eight people are in the custody of US Border Patrol after coming ashore in Martin County overnight.
According to Martin County Sheriff's Office, deputies received reports of undocumented immigrants ashore at the south end of Sailfish Point around 12:30 a.m.
Deputies located three adult males and two adult females that appear to be of Haitian descent, one adult male of Jamaican descent, one adult male of Romanian descent and one juvenile male of Haitian descent.
No vessel was located. Authorities were contacted after the people approached a security guard with Sailfish Point who then called the sheriff's office.
