SOUTH HUTCHINSON ISLAND, Fla. - Waveland Beach will temporarily close ahead of a beach re-nourishment project slated to begin along South Hutchinson Island.
Waveland Beach is about a mile north of Jensen Beach, where a beach re-nourishment project is just finishing up.
Lifeguards will be moved from that beach to South Beach Park (801 S. Ocean Drive) until the re-nourishment is complete.
Lifeguards will be on duty 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
