STUART, Fla. - A Stuart woman is facing charges for selling cocaine from her home, according to a Stuart Police Department arrest report.

Police on Friday charged Nancy Williams, 47, of the 700 block of Southeast 10th Street, with selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a community center, cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On April 19, a confidential police informant asked Williams whether he could buy $40 worth of crack. Williams then entered a house in the 700 block of Southeast 10th Street and returned with the drugs, the report states.

On Friday, police served a search warrant at the house, which is near the 10th Street Civic Center.

In Williams' front left pocket police found a clear glass pipe with burned residue inside, the report states.

"To smoke crack, why?" Williams said the arrest report states.

As of Monday, Williams was being held at the Martin County Jail in lieu of $55,000 bail.
