STUART, Fla. - A soldier's remains will come home to Stuart Wednesday morning.
U.S. Army Sgt. Justin Johnson of Hobe Sound, died in Afghanistan during his third tour of duty.
Wednesday at 10:30 in the morning his remains are scheduled to come to Witham Field in Stuart near the Jet Center.
People will line Aviation Way to show their support for Sgt. Johnson's family and the public is invited to join.
Sgt. Johnson's mother Sonia Randolph said this type of homecoming is what she feared during her son's last deployment in Iraq.
He was engaged to be married and the father of a 4-year-old son.
Randolph said she is happy her son died doing what he loved, but doesn't wish this upon any family.
She wishes the war would come to an end.
The U.S. Army, Martin County Fire Rescue, Martin County Sheriff's Office and the Patriot Guard will be on hand at the homecoming.
They'll host a large American flag as well as do a water cannon salute in Sgt. Johnson's honor.
We will have a live video stream of the tribute to Sgt. Johnson here on WPTV.com.
The funeral for Sgt. Johnson will be held July 6th.
