Stuart, Fla. - Future pro baseball players are getting some lessons from the real pros on the Treasure Coast.

Rusty Meacham, a former Major League Baseball pitcher,  recruited some former pro friends, including former Chicago White Sox shortstop, Mike Caruso, to instruct children on proper technique at his baseball camp.

Meacham started his pro baseball career at  -  Wojcieszak Park - the very park where the kids were learning.

"It's just awesome to be able to come back and give back to these young kids and teach them the proper way to play the game of baseball," Meacham said.

He said working with the young can inspire them to pursue baseball as a sport-- and this camp will hopefully teach them some life lessons along the way.

Mike Caruso, former White Sox shortstop, said, "If you struggle, it's a tough game already. Just always stay positive is the main thing."

Children ages 6 to 16 participated in the two-day camp, which was held in Stuart.
