All Martin County schools will follow an early release on Thursday, October 25. All students will be released from school two hours earlier than normal, due to Hurricane Sandy, according to a news release.
Parents who pick up their students from schools or the bus stop are asked to make arrangements two hours earlier.
Students currently enrolled in Extended Day will go directly into after school program, after dismissal, according to school officials.
The Extended Day program will follow its normal schedule for students currently enrolled.
All afterschool activities, evening classes, and evening programs are also canceled for Thursday, October 25 th.
These decisions are based on the latest information from the National Hurricane Center which includes the potential for sustained winds and gusts that may prevent the District from safely operating school buses Thursday afternoon.
The District has not determined at this time about whether or not there will be changes to Friday's school schedules.
