Authorities searching for man who robbed two people in Stuart Thursday evening

STUART, Fla. - Authorities are searching for a man suspected of robbing two people at a business in the 1200 block of N.W. Federal Highway in Stuart Thursday evening.

Christine Weiss, spokeswoman for Martin County Sheriff’s Office, said deputies responded to a report of two people being robbed at a business at 1284 N.W. Federal Highway.

The victims told deputies they work at the business, identified only as Nationwide, and that after being robbed one of them walked out with the suspect before he fled.

Weiss said  detectives do not know the reason one of the victims walked out of the business with the suspect or what happened afterwards, except that both victims are unharmed.

She said deputies are searching by ground and air for a “white male wearing some type of a hoodie.”
