STUART, Fla. - Three roommates are facing criminal charges for operating a marijuana growhouse, according to Martin County Sheriff's Office arrest report.
Deputies Monday charged Keenan Wiggins, 22, Justin Neely, 27, and Dalton Manochi, 18, all of the 900 block of South Kanner Highway, with felony cultivation of cannabis after finding 16 marijuana plants growing in their apartment, report states.
Deputies found 15 plants growing in Neely's bedroom and one plant in Wiggins' bedroom, the report states.
Neely and Wiggins said they have been roommates for about a year and Manochi moved in with them about two months ago.
According to the report, both Wiggins and Neely said the was their first time growing marijuana, whereas Manochi denied any involvement and asked for an attorney.
As of Tuesday, Neely was being held at the Martin County Jail en lieu of $5,000 bail while Wiggins and Manochi had been released on $5,000 bail.
