A rally will be taking place Sunday morning across part of Martin County.
The goal is gather 10,000 people to form a human chain.
Event organizers are asking protestors to join together at public beach access sites between Stuart Beach and Jensen Beach.
Those who show up will be asked to link arms and form a human chain across the beach.
The goal is to form a three mile long chain.
The rally begins at 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
Those who come are protesting discharges from Lake Okeechobee that have made their way to Martin County's waterways.
Because of the discharge and rain run-off, the waters have been dangerous to both humans and animals due to high bacteria levels and toxic algae blooms.
The discharges aren't expected to end until next year, according to the Army Corps of Engineers.
