Fire damages home in Palm City

Fire severely damaged a Palm City single-family home Thursday afternoon, said Chief Doug Killane, spokesman for Martin County Fire Department.

The home, in the 4800 block of SW Lake Grove Circle, was unoccupied when the fire started around 2:39 p.m., Killane said.

He said his department and the state Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.

There is no additional information immediately available.
