STUART, Fla. — The mother of a Sea Wind Elementary School student has filed suit against the Martin County School District alleging the child was dragged by her arm across the playground by a school employee.

The suit, filed Sept. 30 in Martin County Circuit Court by Anastazia Huryan, alleges that "an employee of the defendant dragged (Huryan's 9-year-old daughter) by the arm for a distance — injuring her arm.:

The complaint alleges the district failed to utilize reasonable care in supervising playground activities but gives no further details surrounding the incident or the child's injury.

Neither the Martin County School District nor Huryan's Hollywood-based attorney returned calls to comment on the case.
