JENSEN BEACH, Fla. - Martin County deputies say 28-year old Christopher Plummer of Port St. Lucie turned himself in Monday night.

He was wanted for burglarizing the River Palm Cottages in Jensen Beach early Sunday, hours after a charity fishing tournament wrapped up.  Deputies say Plummer stole a flat screen TV that was rented for the charity event, along with two mounted fish.

Deputies say Plummer led them on a high speed chase through Jensen Beach, crashing his pickup truck twice.  At one point, they say Plummer tried to ram a deputy with his truck, causing the deputy to fire four shots at the vehicle.

They say Plummer escaped after running his truck into a GMC pickup that was parked at a home on Ida Place.   Witnesses saw the suspect try to stash the stolen fish mounts in some bushes before escaping on foot.

Plummer faces a long list of charges including: fleeing and eluding, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and grand theft.
