Man on moped hit by car in Indiantown

INDIANTOWN, Fla. - A man riding a moped was struck by a car in Indiantown Sunday afternoon, said Bureau Chief Daniel Harshburger, spokesman for Martin County Fire Rescue.

Around 12:36 p.m. rescue crews responded to the accident at the intersection of Southwest Magnolia Street and Southwest 170 ^th Avenue in the area of Booker Park. 

The victim, whose name and age were not immediately available, was airlifted to a local trauma center, Harshburger said.
