Man on moped hit by car in Indiantown

INDIANTOWN, Fla. - A man riding a moped was struck by a car in Indiantown Sunday afternoon, said Bureau Chief Daniel Harshburger, spokesman for Martin County Fire Rescue.

Around 12:36 p.m. rescue crews responded to the accident at the intersection of Southwest Magnolia Street and Southwest 170 th Avenue in the area of Booker Park. 

The victim, whose name and age were not immediately available, was airlifted to a local trauma center, Harshburger said. 

There is no other information available at this time.
