Man dead after house fire in 1700 block of Seneca Avenue in Jensen Beach

JENSEN BEACH, Fla. -- A man is dead after a house fire in Jensen Beach this morning, according to Martin County Fire Rescue.

The fire was called in just before 9:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Seneca Avenue.

An investigator with the state Fire Marshal's office was called to the scene to assist in determining the cause of the blaze.

Units arrived to find a single-family home about 50 percent engulfed in flames

While putting out the fire, crews discovered the man inside, already dead from the fire.

The fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes, according to a fire rescue spokesperson.

The victim has not been identified.
