Train hits truck in Jensen Beach, 1 person injured

JENSEN BEACH — One person was taken to an area trauma center Wednesday morning after a collision involving a train and a pick-up truck, a Martin County Fire Rescue spokesman said.

Crews were called about 2:10 a.m. to the incident on Northeast Jensen Beach Boulevard in downtown Jensen Beach, said Daniel Harshburger, Fire Rescue spokesman.

Harshburger said one person was in the pick-up truck. That person was taken to a local trauma center in serious condition.

The gender and other information about the injured person weren't immediately available Wednesday morning.

Harshburger said fire rescue crews left the scene about 3:30 a.m.
