JENSEN BEACH, Fla. - You've heard the phrase "what would Jesus do?" Now comes a story from the Treasure Coast involving "Jesus wood."
The Wolfes of Jensen Beach recently bought a set of wood dock pilings to spruce up their backyard. Then last week, to their amazement, there was a figure of a face that they say developed in one of the pilings.
"Maybe an animal's head, Van Gogh, it's subject to interpretation. Definitely something surprising and intriguing," Dave Wolfe said.
"When I first looked at it, I thought that it was Jesus, but that's everybody's first thought," said Pat Wolfe.
The couple took still photographs. Since then the face has faded a bit. Pat Wolfe now thinks it appropriately looks more like a... wolf.
The Wolfes did say someone offered them a winning lottery ticket worth 450-dollars for the pilings.
They declined.
