JENSEN BEACH — Martin County Sheriff's deputies interrupted a couple's plan to sell cocaine out of a hotel room, according to an arrest report.
Deputies early Wednesday morning charged Michelle Mola, of the 8800 block of Southeast Parkway Road, Hobe Sound, with attempted trafficking cocaine and Ian Schuettler, of the 10,200 block of 158th Court North, Jupiter, with cocaine possession, tampering with evidence and resisting officer with violence.
About 2 a.m. Wednesday, deputies stationed at the Hampton Inn hotel, 11500 N.W. Federal Highway, nabbed Mola, 42, in the parking lot as she was attempting to call Schuettler and warn him about the arrest, the report states.
When deputies knocked on the hotel room, they heard the toilet flush three times before Schuettler opened the door, the report states.
Once inside the room deputies saw several pieces of powder cocaine on the rim of the toilet and two, wet plastic bags that tested positive for cocaine.
As of Wednesday, Mola was being held at the Martin County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Schuettler on Tuesday was released from jail on $15,750 bond.
