Jupiter man dies from injuries sustained in a motorcycle-car crash on U.S. 1 in Hobe Sound

HOBE SOUND, Fla. - A Jupiter man has died from injuries he sustained during a motorcycle-car accident in Hobe Sound Thursday afternoon.

Daniel R. Ford, 52, was riding his 2003 Suzuki Intruder southbound of U.S. 1 in the outside lane when a vehicle driven by Ned R. Stull, 80, of Hobe Sound, began to turn left from SE Eaglewood Way onto’s Ford’s path. Ford hit the brakes but was unable to stop his motorcycle from striking the rear left side of the 2001 Dodge Neon driven by Stull, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident happened around 5:43 p.m.

Ford was rushed to Jupiter Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Stull was uninjured; a passenger in his car received minor injuries and was taken to Martin Medical Center.

The accident is under investigation.
