HOBE SOUND, Fla. - Days before her 23 rd birthday, a Wellington woman’s life was tragically cut short in a two-car crash around 5:07 p.m. Wednesday in Hobe Sound, according to the Florida Highway Patrol
Jessica M. Timm was southbound on U.S.1 near Osprey Street when for unknown reasons she veered to the left, crossed the grass median and drove into the northbound lanes of U.S.1, according to an FHP report.
Timm’s 2003 Ford Focus struck the front of a 2003 Lincoln Aviator driven by 79-year-old Phylis B. Harrison of Hobe Sound. Both vehicles came to rest in the left lane of northbound U.S. 1, according to FHP.
Timm was taken to Martin Memorial Hospital South where she was pronounced dead. Harrison was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in serious condition.
Both were wearing seatbelts.
The accident is under investigation.
