Fire in Hobe Sound displaces resident, Red Cross steps in to help

HOBE SOUND, Fla. - A Hobe Sound resident is forced to leave their home thanks to an early morning fire.

Martin County Fire Rescue officials responded to a residential structure fire on the 8800 block of SE Hobe Ridge Avenue just before 7 a.m. Saturday.

Crews managed to get the fire under control that started in one of the rooms of the house.

The Florida State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating what may have caused the fire to ignite.

No injuries have been reported. 

The American Red Cross has stepped in to help those affected.
