Jacksonville man dies hours after I-95 crash in Hobe Sound; 3 others hospitalized

HOBE SOUND — A 55-year-old Jacksonville man died about seven hours after a Sunday crash on Interstate 95 that also injured three others, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

San Vuth died at 8:37 p.m. Sunday, about seven hours after the 2003 Toyota he was driving north on I-95 experienced a problem with the right rear tire. Suth, who was about three miles south of Bridge Road, lost control and the vehicle traveled off the road into the median before overturning.

The Toyota wound up on its roof facing southwest.

Vuth was taken to Martin Hospital South in Stuart by ground ambulance before being taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach. He died at 8:37 p.m.

Passenger Vanny Ngaeth, 42, of Jacksonville, was critically injured and flown to St. Mary's Medical Center.

Passengers Samloy Skaith, 43, and 32-year-old Sarath Tek, both of Jacksonville, were taken in serious condition to Martin Hospital South.

Vuth and the three passengers all wore seatbelts, according to the FHP.

All northbound lanes of I-95 were blocked for about an hour for a medical helicopter to land.
