VERO BEACH, Fla. - The State Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to figure out the cause of a fire that started early Friday morning.
It happened at a home in the 1700 block of 27th Avenue.
Indian River Fire Rescue responded to the scene. When firefighters arrived they say the house was fully engulfed. They say they used a defensive attack on the fire.
The blaze caused the roof of the house to collapse, according to firefighters, so it wasn't safe for them to go inside.
At this time it's not clear if there was anyone inside the home.
State investigators will go in after the sun comes up to further investigate. Witnesses say there was a car behind the home at the time of the fire.
