Northbound lanes open, Soutbound still closed; Head on collision sends 4 to the hospital

VERO BEACH, Fla. - UPDATE: Northbound lanes are now open. Southbound lanes remained closed.
EARLIER STORY:
A car crash has closed down US Highway 1 in Vero Beach in both directions.
According to authorities, this was a head-on collision.
Investigators say 2 patients were airlifted to nearby hospitals, while two more were transported by ground. All of the patients are suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
Tow Trucks are currently on the scene cleaning up. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, US Highway 1 should be opened up shortly.
