VERO BEACH — A man accused of striking his ex-girlfriend and two men with a golf club surrendered to authorities Wednesday, Vero Beach police said.
Danny R. Morgan, 60, of the 7900 block of U.S. 1, Vero Beach, was charged with three counts of aggravated battery after Saturday night's altercation in front of a restaurant in the 1600 block of Ocean Drive.
Police said Morgan followed his ex-girlfriend to the restaurant and attacked the 64-year-old woman, her 49-year-old companion and a bystander who stepped in to defend them. All three were treated at Indian River Medical Center and have been released.
Morgan did not speak about the incident to police when he turned himself in. He remained at the Indian River County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail Thursday.
